* '''Oppose''' It’s de-jure in Azerbaijan so it’s logic to have an Azerbaijani name for it. [[User:Carthago814|Carthago814]] ([[User talk:Carthago814|talk]]) 19:42, 28 December 2020 (UTC) |

Requested move 21 December 2020
Kiş, Khojavend → Gishi, Nagorno-Karabakh – Move to "Gishi, Nagorno-Karabakh" per WP:AT/WP:COMMONNAME:
Results from Google: Gishi: 5,490 Kiş: 5,440. Also listed as "Gishi" on a Soviet-era topographic map: [1]
Be aware that many results on Google regarding "Kiş"/"Kish", despite adding "Karabakh" tag to the search, refers to the village of "Kiş, Shaki" and the "Church of Kish" outside of Nagorno-Karabakh.
Regarding the ", Nagorno-Karabakh" disambiguation tag: "Nagorno-Karabakh" is a well established and the accepted term for the region and used by the majority of UN states when referring to the region. Using the common name for a geographic region, or an autonomous region, as well as when it's in dispute, as a disambiguation tag is standard on Wikipedia - a couple of examples: Copceac, Gagauzia, Gaidar, Gagauzia, Tomai, Gagauzia, Ocnița, Transnistria, Rotari, Transnistria, Mitrovica, Kosovo, Kamenica, Kosovo. This formulation was also favored on a past relevant move discussion for the town of Martuni in Nagorno-Karabakh (Khojavend → Martuni, Nagorno-Karabakh).
