John Hubley's bio on IMDb says: |

I split off the film info into a separate article at Finian's Rainbow (film) and moved the related talk stuff to its talk page. -- Ssilvers 18:56, 14 February 2007 (UTC) |

:Was to have filmed "Finian's Rainbow" as an animated feature in 1955. Voice and music recording was completed, under musical director Lyn Murray, with a voice cast that included Frank Sinatra, Louis Armstrong, Ella Fitzgerald, Ella Logan (from the original Broadway cast), and Barry Fitzgerald. Unfortunately, shortly after this was done, funding ran out and the film was never completed. |

That differs from this article's statement that the film was not made because Hubley was blacklisted. Which is the correct story? And do the recordings from the 1955 work still exist, is there a chance the movie could someday be released in its incomplete form? - Brian Kendig 02:31, 1 July 2006 (UTC) |

:: Great questions. I don't have any answers, but would point out that blacklisting and having funds dry up are hardly mutually exclusive: the blacklist was largely enforced economically, not by direct government intervention, and this would fit in perfectly. - Jmabel | Talk 22:03, 7 July 2006 (UTC) |
