Why isn't Beatty's false statement covered in her article? RE "I’m old enough to remember when Black officers, when women, were not allowed to serve,” is patently false. She was born in 1950 and would have started remembering things in the late 1950s. Women and blacks started being allowed to server in numbers in the early 1940s, and even before that (ref the Tuskegee Airmen pilots). While I see why she was upset, if wiki wants to be neutral as it claims, both sides of this mess need to be covered.
