This article's introductory piece is too long!
This is an important article, but the introductory text is too long for those trying to get a quick rundown. A lot of the information should probably be moved down into different sections.

National Martyrs’ Memorial should be added
National Martyrs’ Memorial or the sriti shoudho is mentioned nowhere in thi article . It must be added as fast as possible with pictures — Preceding unsigned comment added by Wholecube (talk • contribs) 12:47, 12 August 2017 (UTC)
- Why must it be added "as fast as possible"? LOL! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 50.111.3.17 (talk) 22:35, 26 March 2018 (UTC)
Whimsical list of supporters
Why is there an inaccurate list of countries as supporters? None of these countries were involved in combat during the war. The subject is not black and white. Members of the US government and Congress were highly opposed to Pakistan's military operations. On the other hand, the Soviet Union pretended to be neutral during much of the war by urging political dialogue in East Pakistan, until India intervened in December.
Adding a whimsical list should not be allowed.--105.235.159.74 (talk) 15:23, 23 November 2017 (UTC)
Result of the war
The result of the war is written as Decisive Bangladeshi-allied victory, following other similar articles like American Revolutionary War. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 45.127.246.106 (talk) 10:55, 14 February 2018 (UTC)
- Please see WP:OR, particularly what that means with respect to lack of sources. You need to provide a source that this term is used let alone exists in the same context as for the American revolutionary war. So far I have not seen it. Mar4d (talk) 16:15, 18 February 2018 (UTC)
- You can find enough sources in the article itself. Indian forces were known as Mitro Bahini which means allied forces. Looks like you haven't read the sources yourself. I think I need to create an account to edit the article. Can somebody help me? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 45.127.246.106 (talk) 20:06, 18 February 2018 (UTC)
Semi-protected edit request on 20 May 2018
In the Commanders and Leaders section, please change the link for Abul Kalam Azad from https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abul_Kalam_Azad to https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abul_Kalam_Azad_(politician). The current link points to an Indian politician and not to the Bangladeshi politician being referenced. Vector 18 (talk) 18:36, 20 May 2018 (UTC)
Edits from TurboCop
I see Gazoth has reverted my revert by providing a misleading edit summary. TurboCop is clearly POV pushing over the content that has been rejected a lot of times throughout the archives. Though I really wonder how an account that registered few minutes ago can rehash such long edits. Per WP:BRD you need to discuss reverted edit first.
As for the whole edit, it is completely irrelevant. "because of the fact that", talk about editorializing. I took a glace and saw this phrase in the first para of that mass addition. It's not even in the source. My Lord (talk) 08:54, 28 June 2018 (UTC)
- It is really not clear from the edits. I saw a good faith improvement being reverted with an edit summary that doesn't offer any useful explanation. If you had invested a bit more time into writing an effective edit summary, I would not have reverted you. There are many exceptions to WP:BRD under WP:BRD-NOT and your revert with a single word edit summary was clearly not a good way to revert. —Gazoth (talk) 09:08, 28 June 2018 (UTC)
- @My Lord: I agree that TurboCop adding 10,000 bytes a few hours after registering definitely seems suspicious, but can you explain what part of the edit is irrelevant? I am seeing a lot of additions of sources, but not the phrase "because of the fact that". Can you provide links to talk page discussions or previous edits where similar edits were rejected? —Gazoth (talk) 09:37, 28 June 2018 (UTC)
- I don't consider it as improvement when the account was only repeating same edits that were refuted many times and some of the part includes conspiracy theories. You should read the archives of the talk page such as Talk:Bangladesh Liberation War/Archive 6, Talk:Bangladesh Liberation War/Archive 7. They discuss the same cries about persecution of Biharis, etc. Orientls (talk) 09:55, 28 June 2018 (UTC)
- @Orientls: Thank you for the links. I don't know the history behind such edits, but I saw enough reason in them to self-revert. I'll leave TurboCop to justify their additions. —Gazoth (talk) 10:11, 28 June 2018 (UTC)
- Suspicious or not suspicious (I note they have said they are Juicifer[1] on their userpage) the edits seems to be mostly addition of good references like Willem van Schendel and Craig Baxter.
