AIS Airlines (Netherlands) (PNX, Amsterdam Schiphol) is planning to acquire a B737 Classic Dutch aviation news portal Omroepflevoland has reported. Airline personnel said the aircraft would arrive next year and would be based out of Lelystad for business and charter flights.(Source: https://www.ch-aviation.com/portal/news/43254-ais-airlines-expecting-maiden-jet-in-2017. |

First I would like to state that I have some knowledge of AIS in personal so this could be perceived as a COI so therefore I will not revert again (and of course Wikipedia:Edit warring). |
There has been some discussion about the aircraft availability of AIS in the edit summary section, In particular of the C303 "PH-ACI" from AIS. While I personally find the use of the word "antiquated" a subjective term the ip editor finds this because the autopilot doesn't work and the aircraft is not DME equipped however there are no sources provided for this. While I can believe that the autopilot may not work there is no way to confirm if it has DME or not without physical access to the aircraft. Also the statement that DME is a required item by dutch law is made, also uncensored. To my knowledge this is not needed for VFR operations of an aircraft. After my revert the ip user changed the statement into that the aircraft is undergoing maintenance which is a possibility, however according to flightradar24 https://www.flightradar24.com/data/aircraft/ph-aci has been doing regular flights for the past week. |
To continue the statement "The Dutch DGCA is about to revoke AIS airlines' AOC" is made in the edit summary with an explanation of why, even though this text is not included in the article it is again not sourced. I might add that I do know that the C303 has been having some technical difficulties in the past few months but it for sure has not been grounded for 6 months, it has been flying on and off. |
I will also note that in a previous revision of this article not the C303 but the TB-20 (PH-JIS) was called antiquated which I also removed; see https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=AIS_Airlines&type=revision&diff=846558642&oldid=840491812 . |
Personally I find myself in a disagreement with these statements and I would like to get some other editors in on this. Redalert2fan (talk) 19:30, 14 July 2018 (UTC) |
