Early life and education
Dudi hails from Nokha town in Bikaner district. Her husband Rameshwar Dudi is the sitting MLA and former leader of the opposition.[4] After his hospitalisation due to brain haemorrhage, Congress nominated his wife Sushila to contest the Nokha seat.[5][6][7] She is the director of family business, Dunac Automobiles Private Limited which runs a petrol bunk.[8] She married Rameshwar in July 1983 and has a son and two daughters.[9]
Career
Sushila despite being a first-timer, won the MLA seat held by her ailing husband even though Congress did not fare well in the election.[10] She won representing Indian National Congress in the 2023 Rajasthan Legislative Assembly Election from Nokha Assembly Constituency defeating Bihari Lal Bishnoi of BJP by a margin of 8,149 votes.[1] She admitted that she has very little experience but said she was confident because of the affection of the voters for her husband.[11]
