She began writing with the comedy group, Soubrettes created by herself, Michael Ladenson, Patirck Tranter, and Drucie McDaniel and co starring Lennie Daniels and Jill Tarnoff. Cinoman went on to write many plays in the late 1990's which were produced by the Ensemble Studio Theatre, The Miranda Theatre, Circle Repertory , Six Figures Theatre and Creative Voices Theatre.Her evening of one acts, "Cinoman and Rebeck" was critically acclaimed in the New York Times and produced by Valentina Fratti and the popular Alice's Fourth Floor. Many of her plays were directed by founder of the Actor's Studio, Jane Hoffman and Temple University theatre professor, Jan Silverman. Recently her play Beds was produced in Los Angeles by the Secret Rose Theatre starring Paige Howard, the daughter of Ron Howard, and subsequently at Miami Florida's nationally recognized summer play festival.Cinoman's published plays include," Fitting Rooms" in Applause Books Best Short Plays of 1995-96 and" Little Sins" and "Truth and Sex", in 10 by 25 published by Dramatic Publishing. She won the Aristos Award for writing along with Theresa Rebeck. |

Cinoman has made two independent films both directed by her husband, Doug Tenagalia, a graduate of the film school at University of Southern California. Her first film starring Joanna Keylock and Bill Phillips, Carole Schweid and Theresa Rose and Steve Garbett won the New England Film Festival Best Film Award, The Connecticut Best Filmmaker Award of 2008 and the Berkshire Film Festival Official Selection and the Somewhere North of Boston Film Festival Selection. Her sophomore effort also directed by Tenaglia is titled, "All Me, All the Time" starring Keir Dullea (2001: A Space Odyssey) and his real life wife, Tony nominated Mia Dillon, Shirley Maclaine's daughter, Sachi Parker, writer John Augustine and Siri Baruc and Janine Barris.Cinoman is currently writing a comic love story screenplay," My Girlfriend at the Time", which will be directed by Susan Seidelman (Desperately Seeking Susan, pilot episodes of Sex and the City). She is a mother of two daughter and an avid animal advocate and horseback rider and an active member of Woodland for Women Worldwide, an international organization that seeks to create opportunities for young girls in impoverished circumstances. |
