Richard Ciano is the president of the Progressive Conservative Party of Ontario and a Canadian market researcher.
Ciano is a principal at Campaign Research, a full-service marketing research agency that he founded in 2003, working with clients in the entertainment, aviation, agriculture, and energy industries.
He was formerly a National Vice President and National Councillor (Ontario)[1] of the Conservative Party of Canada. He was elected to the National Council [2] of the Conservative Party of Canada on March 19, 2005 at the Conservative Party of Canada's founding convention in Montreal and served until November 15th, 2008.
He has served as campaign manager for prominent conservative politicians, such as Peter Van Loan, MP and Government House Leader of the Government of Canada [3], and Peter Shurman[4], a member of the Ontario Legislature. Ciano was a senior advisor to Rob Ford's 2010 Toronto mayoral election campaign.
He is a noted political trainer having founded the Conservative Campaign University [5], a political training school for activists in the Conservative Party of Canada.
Ciano is a graduate of York University and has a Certified Marketing Research Professional designation from the Marketing Research Industry Association. He lives in Holland Landing, Ontario.
