Found by luck or accident in the wild upland garden of John Holland near Whitley Chapel...west of Hexham in the Pennines...a cold windy lonely place where in 2010 one plant arose amongst a number of the normal pink version in amongst a mass of other meadow flowers and primulas, and was luckily spotted by John Holland (85 yrs old and an enthusiastic gardener) and micro |
