Post Alley Pizza is a pizzeria in Seattle, in the U.S. state of Washington.[1][2]
Description
In addition the pizza, the menu has included English muffin sandwiches; the restaurant has served BEC, sausage, and vegetarian varieties, as well as one with bacon, cashew butter, roasted delicata squash, and honey.[3]
History
Marc Russell was an owner during the 2010s.[4] Andrew Gregory and Yasuaki Saito are co-owners, as of 2022.[5][6]
In 2021, Post Alley Pizza collaborated with Ben's Bread on a French bread pizza.[7] The two businesses co-hosted a French-bread-pizza pop-up at The London Plane,[8] where Saito was also a co-owner.[5]
Reception
In 2018, Jake Uitti ranked the pizzeria seventh place in The Stranger's "pizza pie face off", a search for Seattle's best slice.[9] In Seattle Weekly's 2018 list of the 10 best "Seattle bites" under $10, Seth Sommerfeld wrote:
While Seattle may not be a mecca of by-the-slice pizza, Post Alley Pizza is well worth the trek to its tucked-away nook in the Central Business District. While you can't go wrong with the New York-style basics, including a near-perfect sauce/cheese ratio and crisp crust, the array of unpredictable daily specials make Post Alley stand apart from its peers. Any day might feature BBQ chicken pizza, bacon and potato slices, a pepperoni, onion, and jalapeno combo, some overloaded veggie creation, or basically whatever suits the chef's current mood.[10]
In 2020, Jackie Varriano included the business in The Seattle Times' list of four "great spots to grab a scrumptious breakfast sandwich" in the Seattle metropolitan area,[11] and Aimee Rizzo included Post Alley Pizza in The Infatuation's list of 10 "great meals" for $10 in Seattle.[12] Post Alley Pizza was included in Eater Seattle's 2021 overview of "breakfast sandwiches in Seattle worth waking up early to get".[3] In 2022, the website's Jade Yamazaki Stewart included the business in an overview of "where to find exceptional pizza in Seattle" and list of 20 "great" restaurants near Pike Place Market.[13][14] Allecia Vermillion included Post Alley Pizza in Seattle Metropolitan's 2022 list of 13 "exceptional" breakfast sandwiches.[15]
