Cleanup: Seems to be a constantly growing list; doesn't need to be exhaustive; removed things without wiki articles or things that "can" be played pencil-and-paper but aren't (mentioned in article). Category:Paper-and-pencil_games exists. |
Remove bibliography; all of its contents are children's game-books and not books on the topic itself, and the majority of them are non-English (not an explicit problem, but kids game books aren't a category where there aren't English sources). This is a bit WP:BOLD; feel free to revert and discuss if you feel these added something to the article. |

Paper-and-pencil games or paper-and-pen games (or some variation on those terms) are games that can be played solely with paper and pencils (or other writing implements), usually without erasing. Some popular examples of pencil-and-paper games include Tic-tac-toe, Sprouts, Dots and Boxes, Hangman, M.A.S.H., Paper soccer, and Spellbinder. The term is unrelated to the use in role-playing games to differentiate tabletop games from role-playing video games.
Board games where pieces are never moved or removed from the board once being played, particularly abstract strategy games like Gomoku and Connect Four, can also be played as pencil-and-paper games.
