Mikael Höglund (born 15 May 1962) is a [[Swedes|Swedish]] bass player best known for his contributions to the rock bands Great King Rat and [[Thunder (band)|Thunder]]. |

Höglund began playing the bass guitar at the age of 14, starting his musical journey with a local band called Tryckvåg. In 1990, he became a member of the band Great King Rat, which released two albums before disbanding in 1992. |

In 1993, Höglund joined Thunder, taking over the role of the original bassist, Mark Luckhurst. He played a significant role in the band's 1995 album "Behind Closed Doors," which achieved commercial success. Additionally, he made appearances on Thunder's live albums, namely "Live Circuit," "Their Finest Hour...and a bit," and "Live at the BBC." |
