Metso Corporation (NYSE: MX; Nasdaq Helsinki: MEO1V) was created in 1999 through the merger of Valmet and Rauma and is headquartered at Helsinki, Finland. Metso is a global supplier of process industry machinery and systems as well as know-how and aftermarket services. It serves customers in the pulp and paper industry, rock and mineral processing, power, panelboard production and the hydrocarbon and process industries.
Metso consists of three business areas: Metso Paper, Metso Minerals, and Metso Automation.
- Metso Paper is a global supplier of papermaking, tissuemaking, pulpmaking and boardmaking lines, serving its customers throughout their processes – from pulp making to the wrapping of finished rolls.
- Metso Minerals supplies rock and minerals processing systems to its customers in mining, aggregates production, quarrying and construction.
