Founded in 1977 by Dr. Thomas Hora, Metapsychiatry is based on the principles found in metaphysics and psychiatry. According to Dr. Hora, "All problems are psychological, and all solutions are spiritual."[1] He sought to understand psychological problems as partially rooted in metaphysical and spiritual problems, and understood consciousness to be a faculty beyond a simple biological process [2].
