Site is a blog/scraper site that's been pushed by at least two accounts so far. The most recent, Ritesh9039, has responded aggressively on my talk page and their last post {{tq|I will be providing you with a housands of links like this, so just go and disavow all the link, will it will be alright}} pushes this into an early request here. The site also appears to be lifting content from other sites (see [https://www.trendsetterlive.com/news/supreme-court-slams-ekta-kapoor-for-xxx-web-series-says-you-are-polluting-minds-of-the-young-generation-of-this-country/35841/] vs [https://www.outlookindia.com/art-entertainment/sc-slams-ekta-kapoor-you-are-polluting-minds-of-young-generation-of-this-country-news-229979] so copyright is also an issue. Spam blacklists |
---|
|
Mediawiki:Spam-blacklist is meant to be used by the spam blacklist extension. Unlike the meta spam blacklist, this blacklist affects pages on the English Wikipedia only. Any administrator may edit the spam blacklist. See Wikipedia:Spam blacklist for more information about the spam blacklist.
There are 4 sections for posting comments below. Please make comments in the appropriate section. These links take you to the appropriate section:
Each section has a message box with instructions. In addition, please sign your posts with ~~~~ after your comment.
Completed requests are archived. Additions and removals are logged, reasons for blacklisting can be found there.
Addition of the templates {{Link summary}} (for domains), {{IP summary}} (for IP editors) and {{User summary}} (for users with account) results in the COIBot reports to be refreshed. See User:COIBot for more information on the reports.
If in doubt, please leave a request and a spam-knowledgeable admin will follow-up.
Please consider using Special:BlockedExternalDomains instead, powered by the AbuseFilter extension. This is faster and more easily searchable, though only supports whole domains and not whitelisting.
- Does the site have any validity to the project?
- Have links been placed after warnings/blocks? Have other methods of control been exhausted? Would referring this to our anti-spam bot, XLinkBot be a more appropriate step? Is there a WikiProject Spam report? If so, a permanent link would be helpful.
- Please ensure all links have been removed from articles and discussion pages before blacklisting. (They do not have to be removed from user or user talk pages.)
- Make the entry at the bottom of the list (before the last line). Please do not do this unless you are familiar with regular expressions — the disruption that can be caused is substantial.
- Close the request entry on here using either {{done}} or {{not done}} as appropriate. The request should be left open for a week maybe as there will often be further related sites or an appeal in that time.
- Log the entry. Warning: if you do not log any entry you make on the blacklist, it may well be removed if someone appeals and no valid reasons can be found. To log the entry, you will need this number – 1135847887 after you have closed the request. See here for more info on logging.

abrantesseo.com
abrantesseo.com: Linksearch en (insource) - meta - de - fr - simple - wikt:en - wikt:fr • Spamcheck • MER-C X-wiki • gs • Reports: Links on en - COIBot - COIBot-Local • Discussions: tracked - advanced - RSN • COIBot-Link, Local, & XWiki Reports - Wikipedia: en - fr - de • Google: search • meta • Domain: domaintools • AboutUs.com Please release abrantesseo for use in [1]. Reason: Very obsolete article in the Portuguese language, I am updating the article, citing the source, as I am an expert on the subject who follows all the guidelines. I already made the exception request in the whitelist, but no administrator updates the article. — Preceding unsigned comment added by User:Abrantes 33 (talk • contribs)
- 1) This is blacklisted globally, not just on enwiki and 2) we don't typically remove things from the site owners and/or people who were involved in the spamming in the first place. - MrOllie (talk)
census2011.co.in
census2011.co.in: Linksearch en (insource) - meta - de - fr - simple - wikt:en - wikt:fr • Spamcheck • MER-C X-wiki • gs • Reports: Links on en - COIBot - COIBot-Local • Discussions: tracked - advanced - RSN • COIBot-Link, Local, & XWiki Reports - Wikipedia: en - fr - de • Google: search • meta • Domain: domaintools • AboutUs.com This has been declined before, but the situation has changed somewhat. The official Census of India site ([2]) has been basically dead for something like 18 months now. On the off chance that it decides to work (95% of the time it does not even load), the search function often does not work, and when it does, the site does not permit linking directly to individual census entries the way it used to. All of this makes the official site effectively a dead link and useless as a reference. The 2021 Census of India has been delayed numerous times because of COVID. Currently it's set for October 2023 but there's no reason to think it won't be delayed further than that. It could be years before new official census data is live.
Census2011.co.in is an accurate mirror that uses data taken from the original 2011 census. I have been working on obscure Indian villages for several years now and never found a discrepancy between Census2011.co.in and the official data (when it was available). It has the added advantage of being far better organized and interlinked (most importantly, you can link to a list of villages in a tehsil or district, a function the official census does not provide).
Long story short, it would be very helpful to me and anyone else working in obscure Indian villages to be able to use this site, given that the official site is defunct and there is no timeline on a replacement.
Note: This was archived without comment, so I am readding it. ♠PMC♠ (talk) 05:52, 18 January 2023 (UTC)
- Ping to Beetstra as the admin who SBL'd it in 2019 (SBL discussion, RSN discussion) and Sitush as requester. I'm willing to consider removal given my trust for PMC's judgment. GeneralNotability (talk) 01:18, 24 January 2023 (UTC)
