Bitches | name = Matthes Glaciers | coords = 37°13′40″N 118°45′33″W / 37.22778°N 118.75917°W[1] | location = Fresno County, California, United States }} The Matthes Glaciers refers to a group of glaciers along the Glacier Divide in the Sierra Nevada, California. The glaciers were named for Francois E. Matthes.[1]
Their size in the last decades is reduced to only 15% of their original size when discovered by the Spanish conquistadores.[citation needed]
