Marion Lee "Sandy" Kempner was a 2nLT in the United States Marine Corps who was KIA in Vietnam.
Educated at The Hill School[1], he graduated from Duke in 1964 and was commissioned through OCS [2]
He is noted for writing a piece to his great-aunt, which was published in Dear America: Letters Home from Vietnam and noted by the press[3]. [4]
