The accident happened on 6 January 1993 when '''[[Lufthansa Cityline]] Flight 5634''' was on a flight from [[Bremen Airport]] to [[Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport]] in [[France]]. The [[Bombardier DHC-8]] registration D-BEAT with 23 passengers and crew took off from [[Bremen Airport]] at 17:30. But as Flight 5634 was nearing [[Paris]] a [[Korean Airlines]] [[Boeing 747]] burst a tyre on landing and the runway was closed down for a short while. The pilot had to change course to another runway and started an approach when Flight 5634 entered a high sink rate and crashed into the ground tail first and broke into two parts there was no fire and the aircraft hit the ground 1800m short of the runway. The crash killed 4 passengers and 19 were injured in the accident. |
