Revision as of 20:42, 5 May 2008
Voters in Louisiana's 1st congressional district will vote in a special election on 2008-05-03 to elect a new member of the United States House of Representatives. Representative Bobby Jindal resigned on 2008-01-14 to become Governor of Louisiana. The New Orleans Times-Picayune has called the election for Steve Scalise[1].
This election, along with Louisiana's 6th congressional district special election will be the first Louisiana congressional elections not based on Louisiana's jungle primary since the 1970s.
