This is a list of social nudity places in Europe for recreation. Includes free beaches (or clothing-optional beaches or nude beaches) and some resorts.

Croatia
- Istria Camping Koversada, located at 45°08′00″N 13°36′00″E / 45.13333°N 13.60000°E near Vrsar is the biggest and one of the first naturist resorts in Europe.
- Istria Camping Valalta, located at 45°05′00″N 13°38′00″E / 45.08333°N 13.63333°E near Rovinj.
- Cres island. There are two beautiful beaches with naturist hotels and campings, one is Kovačine near the city of Kres, and the other is Baldarin near Punta Križa, located at 44°37′00″N 14°31′00″E / 44.61667°N 14.51667°E.

Finland
- Helsinki has two nudist beaches, one in Pihlajasaari (unisex) and Seurasaari (separate beaches for men and women).
- Pori - A small part of the Yyteri beach is designated as a unisex nudist beach.
- Punkaharju near Savonlinna - Kultakivi-resort had a unisex nudist beach at least in 2002.
France
- Many naturist resorts exist on the Atlantic coast, e.g. Montalivet, Euronat, La Jenny.

Germany
- Apart from urban areas and official baths, nude bathing is usual in Germany: unofficial nudist areas exist at most lakes and rivers, and other sites, such as abandoned rock quarries.
- Many designated FKK areas exist at the seaside, at lakes and in baths, especially in the former East Germany, where nudism remains more widespread than in the west.
- Families especially like to spend their leisure time in naturist areas; sauna bathing is generally practiced in the nude.
- Even in cities there are clothing-optional areas, e.g. the Schönfeldwiese in the Englischer Garten in Munich, near the city centre; also, the western part of Feldmochinger See, in the northwestern suburb, the peninsula in Lake Feringasee in the Northeast and the Flaucher at the river Isar south of the city center of Munich.
- nacktbaden.de is a very comprehensive and regularly updated German index of nudist areas.
Baden-Baden German city located near the French border. This city has many natural mineral springs and numerous clothes free bath houses are located. An excellent starting point in Germany.
Greece
- Naturism is practised widely in the Greek Islands although, strictly speaking, legal only in a relatively few designated locations but almost on all islands there are unofficial nudist beaches; The most comprehensive information about Greek nudist beaches can be found in Captain Barefoot's Naturist Guide [ http://www.barefoot.info/].

- Emilia-Romagna, spiaggia naturista ufficiale del Lido di Dante, is a beach plenty of voyeur male and hedonist couples that hide in the rear forestal area pineta. Is not a relaxing place and is not suitable for children. Located at 44°23′20″N 12°18′00″E / 44.38889°N 12.30000°E
- Friuli-Venezia Giulia , Cava Casali beach near Sistiana and Duino (Trieste) – km. 137 state road 14.
- Friuli-Venezia Giulia , Costa dei Barbari beach near Sistiana and Duino (Trieste) – km. 139 state road 14.
- Friuli-Venezia Giulia , Filtri beach near Sistiana and Grignano (Trieste)– km. 143 state road 14.
- Lazio , Arenauta beach near Sperlonga– km. 24,5 state road 213.
- Roma, to the south-west, on the Tirrenian sea, is found the Oasi Naturista di Capocotta. Official naturist beach on the coast between Ostia and Torvaianica.
- Roma, to the north is located the small lake Lago di Martignano, near Falconeto and Anguillara Sabazia. Entrance from the Anguillarese road, beach located at 42°06′30″N 12°19′30″E / 42.10833°N 12.32500°E. The side to the right of the main beach, very far from the entrance, is reserved to naturism (avoid bringing children, dogs, music).
- Sardinia Hundreds of small, secluded beaches can occasionally become naturist corners. Traditional places are the beaches Cala di Volpe, Liscia di Vacca, to the north of Pitrizza Hotel and Piccolo Pevero beach, the far side to the right after the rocks.
- Sicily, camping lo scoglio, Castel di Tusa (Messina) this camping has a naturist area and bach
- Sicily, spiaggia del Canneto beach, located at 38°30′00″N 14°57′00″E / 38.50000°N 14.95000°E in Lipari island, far from the north coast of Sicily.
- Sicily, hotel Raya and beaches in Panarea island, at 38°38′15″N 15°04′00″E / 38.63750°N 15.06667°E.
- Tuscany - In the giant sandy beach Marina di Alberese, near Grosseto, there is an area where nudism is legalised, around 42°38′00″N 11°05′00″E / 42.63333°N 11.08333°E. The area is very far (2 km) from the carpark, and has NO structures.
- Tuscany, the middle part of the giant beach Feniglia (where the painter Caravaggio died, in the forest behind the beach), with its center at 42°25′00″N 11°13′30″E / 42.41667°N 11.22500°E in Argentario peninsula, near Grosseto.
- Tuscany, in Elba island, the beaches Acquarilli Capoliveri and Fetovaia.
- Venice, beach in Isola del Morto island, near Eraclea.
Estonia
(Estonia, Estland), Baltic sea region. Overseen by ngo `Estnat`. Free of tickets.
- Tallinn, tolerated naturist beach, from ferry port about 3 km to east-north by walk at sea beach, at very northern end of textiler beach.
Latvia
(Lettonia), Baltic sea region. Overseen by ngo `Latvian Naturist Association`. Free of tickets.
- Vecāķi (Vecaki) official naturist beach, biggest, situated at 0,4 km northerner from north end of Vecāki village (East coast of sea), on Riga-Saulkrasti railway line the same named stop or bus Nr200&204, at N boarder of Riga, ~15 km off the city centrum.
- Inčupe (Incupe) naturist beach, oldest FKK, medium sized, situated at the Saulkrasti railway line at Southern bank of the same named small river about 50 km off the Riga. From Pabaži village S boarder, find place where stays old gasoline filling station, then go to by a wood-path about 0,5 km to Riga direction.
- Lielupe beach, un-official, small, situated at Lielupe river very delta left bank. About 30 km West of Riga by railway begins Jurmala beach-city. Naturists uses only small part of beach where river falls in the Baltic sea, yet this place has some specific gey-activities.
- Ventspils city, official naturist beach, not big, situated at West coast of sea, 230 km from Riga, at central entrance stays marked map, look for most southern part of beach near autocamping.
- Liepāja (Liepaja) unofficial naturist beach, small, situated about 3 km southerner from south boarder of Liepaja city (240 km from Riga).
Lithuania
(Lietuva), Baltic sea region. Overseen by local communities. Free of tickets.
- Palanga, unofficial naturist beach, small, about 30 km S from Latvian boarder at west coast of Baltic sea. From city park place wher stays the Amber Museum go to sea direction. Naturists uses this place only at certain hours of day.
- Klaipeda official naturist beach, big, find a ferry going to Delfinarium (Sea Museum) situated at long ailend-liked Kurlandian Dune. At aisle, 100 m from ferry stop stays a beach map with marked sectors of lady part, man part and families with kids part. Naturist sections are turned to Klaipeda city whilst clothed toward western side of aisle.
- Nida official naturist beach, very big, find a Nida vaccation village crowded by Germans at Southern end of Kurlandian dune, about 50 km from Klaipeda delfinarium, just few km before boarder of Russian Kaliningrad anclave. The naturist beach stays at open sea side of aisle, most southern part just afront of second entrance in a town (those at what stays autocamping), path is common for textilers, but at sea them goes right while naturists left. Tenting at dunes is hardly prohibited.

- Municipalities with a beach (usually including quiet parts) tend to have a nudist beach; even if the municipality does not like it, it designates a quiet part as such in order to be able to forbid nudity on the rest of the beach.

- In Barcelona there is no rule against public nudity, it is a recognised right. Associations Addan, [11],Aleteia and Barcelona Council had published the "Tríptic de Barcelona" that express this and clothes free rights. Mar Bella beach is the primary clothing optional beach for the city of Barcelona.
