The ''MIHAW'' episodes were split into two segments which followed the two larger ''WordGirl'' stories. The first half consisted of a word being given along with various pictures depicting its meaning and asking contestants for a definition, while the second consisted of three images being presented and the winner of the first round being asked to identify which illustrated that meaning. |

Revision as of 04:14, 6 July 2014
WordGirl episodes are divided up into eleven-minute segments, except for the first three episodes. Each begin with verbal instructions to listen for two words that will be used throughout the plot of that episode. The words (examples include "diversion", "cumbersome," and "idolize") are chosen according to academic guidelines. The reasoning is that children can understand words like "cumbersome" when WordGirl said that it means "big and heavy and awkward."

After he accidentally shrinks Scoops and Bill the grocery store manager, WordGirl must put a stop to his cheese shrinking crimes with the Shrinkinator - which is hard to do, as she gets shrunk as well! The problem is, shrinking objects is easy, but restoring them to their original size is much, much more difficult.

May I Have a Word episodes
The MIHAW episodes were split into two segments which followed the two larger WordGirl stories. The first half consisted of a word being given along with various pictures depicting its meaning and asking contestants for a definition, while the second consisted of three images being presented and the winner of the first round being asked to identify which illustrated that meaning.
