===Episodes 27—38=== |

In April 2007, new episodes of ''The Bellflower Bunnies'' resumed on TF1; they were also seen on Ki.Ka in Germany. Of these, "Les Passiflore à la mer" is the most recent to be based on a Huriet book (ISBN 2-7459-1788-9). As yet, they have not been released on DVD anywhere. |

No. of episodes | 52 produced, 40 aired[1] (as of June 2024) |

Original network | TF1 CBC/Radio Canada KI.KA |
Original release | December 24, 2001[2] – 2007[1] |
This is a list of episodes in the French/Canadian animated series, The Bellflower Bunnies. The show debuted on the French television network, TF1, on December 24, 2001,[2] and is based on the Beechwood Bunny Tales books by Geneviève Huriet, Amélie Sarn and Loïc Jouannigot.
The show centres on the adventures and exploits of the Bellflower family, a clan of seven rabbits who live in Beechwood Grove. The two adults in the family, Papa Bramble and Aunt Zinnia, take care of their five children: Periwinkle, Poppy, Mistletoe, Dandelion and Violette.[a]
Since its premiere, TF1 has always been involved in the show's production, with Valérie Baranski as series writer, and Patricia Robert as producer. Moran Caouissin directed the first four episodes, before Eric Berthier assumed that role for the rest of its run.
The Bellflower Bunnies has aired on the TF! Jeunesse/TFOU block on its original station, and on France's version of Playhouse Disney. It has also been broadcast on KI.KA in Germany, RTP in Portugal's Azores, and CBC/Radio Canada in Quebec, among several others. As of June 2024, 52 episodes have been produced, and up to 40 have aired in Europe.[1] DVD collections of the series have been released in France, Germany, South Korea[5] and North America by various distributors.
English episode titles, where given, are those found on the Region 1 DVDs by Feature Films for Families and Direct Source Special Products. As of June 2024, only twelve of these stories have been released in six separate volumes.
Original specials (Episodes 1—4)
The first four episodes of The Bellflower Bunnies debuted on TF1 during the week of December 24, 2001, at 7:00 a.m. CET.[2] They were directed by Moran Caouissin, an animator from DuckTales the Movie: Treasure of the Lost Lamp;[6] the music was composed by Valérie Baranski and Daniel Scott.
Production of these specials, and the entire series, began in autumn 2000,[7] at a cost of €380,000 (C$610,000) per episode.[8] They were made by TF1 and its subsidiary, Protécréa, along with Montreal's TVA International and Luxembourg's Melusine. Animation work was handled by North Korea's SEK Studio.
These premiere stories have been the most widely distributed worldwide, having been released by different companies in North America, Europe and South Korea.

From this point on, Eric Berthier directed, and Alice Willis composed; Paul Cadieux served as co-producer.

DVD volumes
United States
Twelve episodes of The Bellflower Bunnies have been released in the United States in six volumes, and by two different companies.
As part of a marketing deal with TVA,[7] the English versions of the first four stories were distibuted on VHS by the Utah-based Feature Films for Families in 2001; the Region 1 DVD versions came out on October 1, 2003.[80][81] In both formats, Volume 1 consisted of "Room to Move" and "Carnival,"[80] while Volume 2 included "Balloonatic Bunnies" and "Slide On."[81]
On April 12, 2005, the Direct Source company released another four DVDs of the show, in association with Filmoption International. Like their FFF predecessors, these volumes also consisted of two episodes each; this time, the original French audio is provided along with the English dub. Moreover, Aunt Zinnia teaches a moral to audiences on the top of each front cover.
Volume title | Episodes | Zinnia's moral |
---|---|---|
Tales | "Always try your best"[82] | |
Adventures | "Family lessons abound"[83] | |
Holidays | "Honesty is never on holiday"[85] | |
Friends | "Helping others feels good"[87] |
France
The first 26 episodes of the series have been released in the franchise's native France, and also in six volumes.
Episodes 1 through 4 were released on Region 2 by TF1 Video on January 23, 2003.[88] Starting in late 2004, TF1, Beez Entertainment and Seven Sept brought out a further five volumes of the show:

On October 27, 2005, all of the Region 2 volumes, excluding the very first one from 2003, were packaged into a single boxset.[96] It was reissued on October 11, 2006, with a plush doll of Dandelion.[97]
Germany
On February 22, 2008, edelkids released the first eight episodes of the German-dubbed version in two individual volumes.[3][4]
The stories in Volume 1 of this version are called "Ein neues Zuhause," "Peppino en Gefahr," "Rackies Schneeabenteuer" and "Ein gefährlicher Flug."[3] Volume 2 consists of "Tante Zinias Heldentat," "Dem Täter auf der Spur," "Feuer bei Familie Hase" and "Weihnachten in Gefahr."[4]
South Korea
The four specials have also been distributed by South Korea's C4U Entertainment in the early 2000s.[5] There, they are titled "이사가는 날" ("Room to Move"), "축제는 즐거워" ("Carnival"), "열기구 대소동" ("Balloonatic Bunnies") and "달려라, 썰매야!" ("Slide On").[98]
