Letter4U is the twitter hashtag started by a same name[1] movement referring to a letter Iran's Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei wrote to the youth in North America and Europe on January 21, 2015.[2] According to official website of Ayatollah Khamenei which published the letter in different languages, the letter directly addressed North American and European youth because "the future of your nations and countries will be in your hands; and also I find that the sense of quest for truth is more vigorous and attentive in your hearts."[3][4]
Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei urged Western youths not to let the killings at a French satirical magazine prejudice their view of Islam.[5] The way he argues can light some sparkles of possibility of free thinking in the blackened images about Islam and muslim, today be found in Europe: "I don’t insist that you accept my reading or any other reading of Islam. What I want to say is: Don’t allow this dynamic and effective reality in today’s world to be introduced to you through resentments and prejudices. Don’t allow them to hypocritically introduce their own recruited terrorists as representatives of Islam."[6]
Translations of the letter are available in [7] العربیة, Français,[8] Deutsch,[9] English[6] and Español.[10]
