A kurta is a traditional piece of clothing in India, a long shirt which usually comes down till the knees. It is also referred to as the kameez especially in Pakistan. It is worn along with a pyjama which matches, or complements, the kurta in style, color, pattern, material, or other such features of the cloth.
It is a more traditional form of adornment which is usually worn only at traditional functions or festivals in modern day India.
