Koffi Sama (born 1944 in Amoutchou) was the Prime Minister of Togo, from 29 June 2002 until 9 June 2005. Following the death of long-time president Gnassingbé Eyadéma on February 5, 2005, he announced the news, calling it a "national catastrophe".[1]
Prior to becoming Prime Minister, Sama was Minister of National Education and Research.[2]
Sama was the head of the ECOWAS observer mission in the Malian April 2007 presidential election.[3]
