International career
On August 23, 2007 it was reported that the English FA were investigating Kasper Schmeichel's international status, to see if there was any chance of him forsaking Denmark, for whom he had already played multiple youth matches, in order to play for the England national football team.[1] However, Schmeichel stated that there is only one country he would ever play for, Denmark.[2]
