On 3 June 2017, at around 22:08 BST, multiple attacks occurred in south central London. At 23:46, the Metropolitan Police told people across London to "run and hide"[3]. Police at the London Bridge cordon say there is more than one fatality.[4]
Attacks
London Bridge
A white van mounted the pavement and hit a number of pedestrians[5] on London Bridge, Central London.[6] Police began evacuating all buildings within the vicinity of the bridge.[7]
London Bridge was closed to traffic, as was nearby Southwark Bridge.[6] London Bridge station has also been closed at the request of the police.[5] Fatalities have been reported and confirmed by police at the cordon.
Borough Market
Armed police responded to a security incident at Borough Market, located at the southern end of London Bridge, immediately following the incident on the bridge.[8]
At 23:43, the Metropolitan Police confirmed that officers had responded to reports of stabbings and that "shots had been fired" at the market.[9]
Vauxhall
At 23:44 BST, the Metropolitan police confirmed that they were attending an incident in "the Vauxhall area".[10]
