Fuster, born c.1930 in Barcelona, Spain is a neuroscientific researcher whose fundamental contributions to understanding of neural structures, underlying cognition, and behavior have been widely published and cited within these fields of study. He is the author of several books and extensive papers as well, in particular, on memory, and the prefrontal cortex.[1]
Born in Barcelona, Fuster is an American citizen who earned his M.D. at the University of Barcelona in 1953. In 1967 Fuster earned his Ph.D from the University of Granada. From 1962 until 1964 he was a visiting scientist at the Max Planck Institute for Psychiatry. He is currently Professor of Psychiatry and Biobehavioral Sciences at UCLA's Semel Institute for Neuroscience & Human Behavior.[1]
