Jagraj Singh Hundal, known as Bhai Jagraj Singh (3 June 1979 – 20 July 2017) was a former British Army officer and Sikh preacher.[1][2]
He is also known as the founder of the charity and Sikh organisation, 'Basics of Sikhi'.[3]
Early life
Jagraj was born on 3 June 1979[4] and grew up and attended secondary school in Hounslow, London. He then went on to study Philosophy, Politics and Economics at Oxford University.[5] After graduating he enlisted in the British Army[6] before finding a job in the finance sector.
Basics of Sikhi
In 2012 he founded Everythings 13, a project to spread awareness of the Sikh faith both digitally and through the English language. His most notable work being Youtube Channel, Basics of Sikhi.
Death
In December 2016, he was diagnosed with stage 4 inoperable liver cancer[7][8] and died July 20, 2017.[9]
Legacy
Jagraj Singh is known as one of the most influential Sikhs of the 21st century.[10][11] In 2017, Jagraj Singh was awarded the Point of Light Award.[12]
