Irish Bull Terrier sometimes known as the Irish Staffordshire is not a Pit Bull Terrier but more akin to the original Staffordshire Terrier except being more athletic and up to 19 inches at the shoulder for a large male who will weigh about 50 lbs.
They share the same characteristics as the APBT but unlike the Pit Bull they have no Bulldog in them creating a lighter animal ideal for ratting or foxing. They are banned in the UK as they are classed as a Pit Bull type although surprisingly the American Bulldog is not.
