Iğdır (Armenian: Իգդիր - Ighdir, Russian: Игдир, Azeri: İğdır) is a city in eastern Turkey, close to the border with Armenia. It is the capital of Iğdır Province. The name of the city is the name of a western Turkish clan (Iğdıroğlu) belonging to Üçok branch of Oghuz Turks.
