How to Be Indie is a Canadian television show on YTV. The main character is thirteen-year-old Indira "Indie" Mehta, a teenager with a fun, independent take on life. The program is a single-camera comedy series intended for a youth audience. The show is a part of YTV's 'Big Fun Weeknights'. The series was created by Vera Santamaria, John May, and Suzanne Bolch. Plot
The program follows Indie's comedic exploits as she tries to get the most out of life despite the travails of junior high school and her strict Indian parents. She is joined by her two best friends Marlon Parks and Abigail Flores [2]
