Here I Stand is R&B singer Usher's fifth album, scheduled to be released May 27th 2008.Cite error: The <ref>
tag has too many names (see the help page). The first single from the album,[1] "Love in This Club", was released in February and debuted on Billboard magazine's Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart at number 51.[1] The single also debuted on the Billboard Hot 100 at number 83 and in its third week on the chart, went on to become his eighth number 1 single.[2]
Background
Usher originally hoped to release it in November 2007;[3] it will finally see release on May 27th, 2008.[4]
Songs for the album have been recorded with Jermaine Dupri,[3] T-Pain,[5] Dre & Vidal,[6] and Polow da Don. Other producers he may have worked with but aren't yet confirmed include Kanye West, Timbaland, and Ne-Yo.[7] Lil Jon, with whom Usher has had great success in the past, has not yet worked on the album. He said in an interview with MTV News that he's trying to find Usher a new sound.[6]
In an April appearance on MTV's TRL, Usher stated that Beyoncé and Jay-Z will apear together on his album.[8]
There are also hopes for a T-Pain-produced collaboration with Michael Jackson but it hasn't been recorded yet.[9]
Recently, on UrbanBridgez.com, Moving Mountains was confirmed as the follow-up single. [10]
