Estophilia generally describes like of the Estonian people or Estonian culture, or interest towards these topics. A person with such a like or interest is called an Estophile.
Estophilia by the Baltic German administrators played a crucial rôle in Estonian history, eventually leading to Estonian Age of Awakening.
History
First records of estophilia as a distinct topic of interest date from late 18th century.[1]
