Enercoop is a French electricity supplier. It is the only one in France in the form of a cooperative. Its founding members include Greenpeace and other leading actors of environmental protection and the ethical economy.
Enercoop was created in 2005 and initially just had companies as clients. In July 2007 the French electricity market opened for individuals as well.
In September 2009, Enercoop had a total of 4,200 clients. Today (May 2011) they have 8,000 clients.
