Clix (professional Fortnite gamer)
Cody "Clix" Conrod (January 7, 2005) is a professional Fortnite player, who grew popularity from the game and became one of the best at it. He went from being a Fortnite kid at the age of 12 to a professional Fortnite player at the age of 18 currently.
Early Life
Cody Conrod was born on January 7, 2005, in Connecticut of the United States. At the age of 5, he was already really good at playing video games, like Minecraft and Call of Duty, and he thought of being a professional gamer when he grows up. But when Fortnite was released, he was thinking that Fortnite was going to be the game that would make him a superstar. He signed a contract with his dad that if he bought him a PC, then he would have to pay him back. He made $1,035 in 2 and a half weeks. He was streaming and getting 20-100 average viewers. He also had a successful YouTube channel because he was uploading highlights, montages, scrims, and build fights.
World Cup
Around the time of the World Cup, Clix had joined Misfits Gaming. Clix qualified for the World Cup 5x. Qualifying in almost every week of solos and some in duos with Sceptic. World Cup made him popular, and he went from an average of about 130 viewers to 8,000 viewers. He was one of the best Fortnite players in the world and his placements in the World Cup are shown below.
World Cup Placements:
In Solo Week 1 Session 1, he got 67th and in Solo Week 1 Session 2, he got 76th. In Duos Week 2 Session 1, they got 72nd, but in Duos Week 2 Session 2, they got 2nd. In Solo Week 3 Session 1, he got 17th, and in Session 2, he got 7th. In Duos Week 4 Session 1, they got 3240th. In Solo Week 5 Session 1, he got 3rd, and in Session 2, he also got 3rd. In Duos Week 6 Session 1, they got 489th, but in Session 2, they got 4th. In Solo Week 7 Session 1, he got 471st, and in Session 2, he got 998th. In Duos Week 8 Session 1, they got 665th, but in Session 2, they got 23rd. In Solos Week 9 Session 1, he got 1,220th, but in Session 2, he got 1st. In Duos Week 10 Session 1, he got 451st, and in Session 2, he got 781st. In Solo World Cup Finals, he got 18th. In Duo World Cup Finals, he got 35th.
Boxfight Wagers
Even though Clix had a worse competitive career than his high expectations, his channel grew due to the fact that he was playing in boxfights wagers, because Chapter 2 Season 1 barely had any tournaments to play and content was very low. Also around this time was the signing of Clix from Misfits Gaming to NRG.
Recent
Recently, Clix placed 23rd in FNCS (Winners were Khanada and Ajerss) and the future of his career is unknown. And we will all still remember him as one of the biggest faces in the Fortnite scene.
