Dan Jacobs (born May 20, 1942) an internationally acclaimed jazz trumpet recording artist, composer and writer who has toured extensively worldwide with various groups.[1] He also plays flugelhorn, flute and piano.
He has performed with a variety of public touring acts such as Bob James, Gerald Wilson, Rob McConnell, Woody Herman, Mel Tormé, Wayne Newton, Linda Rondstadt, Aaron Neville, The Four Tops, Bobby Vinton, Kenny Rogers, Billy Dean, Jesus Christ Superstar road show as well as with other top individual jazz artists. He and his group have performed several times at the Newport Beach Jazz Festival, the Long Beach Jazz Festival, Freedom Jazz Festival, The Boise Jazz Festival and more.
Also as a Navy musician, Dan was honored to be asked to participate in the honor guard for the funeral of President John F. Kennedy in 1963 in Washington, DC.
