Bhabi Ji Ghar Par Hai! (English: Sister-in-law, are you at home?) is a comedy television series on &TV.[1] Monday through Friday nights at 10:30 PM. The show is inspired by 1995 Hindi serial Shrimaan Shrimati.[2] The series has been in the news due to the ongoing dispute between one of the lead actresses Shilpa Shinde and the show's producer Binaifer Kohli. However, it hasn't been long since Shilpa Shinde has protested against the mental torture caused to her, and decided to leave the show.
Plot
The show is set in Kanpur and revolves around two neighbouring couples. Manmohan Tiwari (Rohitash Gaud) is a successful undergarment businessman, whose wife Angoori (Shilpa Shinde) is a simple and naive housewife. Their neighbour, Vibhuti Narayan Mishra (Aashif Sheikh), is an unsuccessful and unemployed insurance policy agent, often called "Nalle" (unemployed), who spends his time doing household chores. His wife Anita, (Saumya Tandon) is a headstrong, smart and modern lady who has also been crowned as a beauty queen. She is the bread winner of the family, and her husband's unemployment and laziness irritates her. As the men devise schemes to impress each other's wives, they pull each other down and create problematic situations.
