B. P. Acharya (born 30 October 1960) is a senior officer of the 1983 batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS). He was Director General for MCR HRD Institute[1] and also Special Chief Secretary in General Administration Department for Telangana State.[2] He was Special Chief Secretary, Planning in Telangana State until December 2017.[3][4][5]
He was involved in creating Genome Valley in the outskirts of Hyderabad and many such industrial clusters.[6]
After retirement, he is helping ICMR for their National Animal Resource Facility for Biomedical Research ( NARFBR ) located in Genome valley near Hyderabad. [7] [8]
