Template:Linkless Ashure is a dessert that is made of a mixture consisting fruits and nuts. its annecdotal history is that when Noah's Ark came to rest on Mount Ararat in northeastern Turkey, Noah's family celebrated with a feast. Since their supplies were nearly exhausted, what was left (promaily grains, dried fruits and the like were cooked together to form a pudding and made themselves a splendid feast of Ashure.
The "Ashure" pudding does not seem to have a specific recipe as it changes from region to region and family to family. The puddings is part of the culinary tradition of Turkey as well as many of the surrounding countries.
It is a tradition to serve Ashure or Noah's Pudding during this day to friends, neighbors, colleagues, classmates and relatives no matter what their religious beliefs are.
