Template:Hangon Asaga (9th century) was a Jain Poet of Kannada Literature, the name probably is an apbramsha of sanskrit- Ashoka. There is a mention about him being a pathbreaking poet in the munnudi of shabdamanidarpana of Keshi raja. His works were not found and are supposed to be lost in time. There were other great poets like him in those centuries by names such as Gajaga, Aggala , Manasija, Srivardhadheva, Gunanandi.
Some of his works include Karnatakumarasambhava Kavya and Varadhamana Purana.
