The American Muslims for Palestine (AMP) is a national nonprofit organization that advocate Palestinian right of return and One-state solution.[1]. The organization rises out from Muslim Brotherhood in the United States and has an Islamist view on the Israeli–Palestinian peace process.[2] Asaf Romirowsky, a Middle East historian, described the organization as "racist and eliminationist".[2] Terrorist finance expert Jonathan Schanzer in his testimony to United States Senate Committee on Foreign Relations has said :[3]
at least seven individuals who work for or on behalf of AMP have worked for or on behalf of organizations previously shut down or held civilly liable in the United States for providing financial support to Hamas: the Holy Land Foundation, the Islamic Association for Palestine, and KindHearts.
The organisation AMP holds conferences, lectures, workshops, and trainings for coalition building and legislative advocacy.[4] The organization hosts annual Palestine Advocacy Days, that provide workshop panels and encourage attendees to meet with elected officials at Congress.[5]
AMP has organized several billboard and bus advertisement campaigns to end United State's foreign aid to Israel, including New York City and Washington DC.[6] In summer 2014, it organized protests against Israel's offensive against Gaza Strip. In 2015, it ran a bus advertisement campaign in advance of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's speech to a joint session of Congress which called on members of Congress to boycott the speech.[7]
