America's Next Top Model, Cycle 19 (also known as America's Next Top Model: College Edition) is the nineteenth season of America's Next Top Model, airing on The CW. America's Next Top Model, Cycle 19 features thirteen new hopefuls, all of which are currently enrolled in higher education and it premiered on August 24, 2012.[1][2] Cycle 19 is set to air in a new timeslot, Fridays at 8 P.M.[3] Tyra Banks and Kelly Cutrone returned as judges for this cycle. Additionally, casting was brought back for this season since cycle 15. This cycle also does not feature guest judges at panel, and the episode titles were changed from the guest judge name to "The Girl..." which was applied from cycles 1 through 9.
The catch-phrase for this cycle is "Only One Can Be Top of the Class."
Show and prize changes
After having controversial changes during the airing of the previous cycle; judge and fashion photographer Nigel Barker, runway coach Miss J. Alexander, and photo shoot creative director Jay Manuel were no longer part of the show after that cycle ended. They were replaced by British model Rob Evans and Filipino fashion blogger Bryanboy. Johnny Wujek also joins the crew as the new creative director of photo shoots. Evans and Bryanboy join the judging panel with Banks and Cutrone, marking the return of four judges since cycle 12. Another change is the incorporation of public voting as a factor in eliminations.[4][5][6][7]
The prizes for this cycle are (only three of which are new)[8]:
- A modeling contract with LA Models & NY Model Management.
- The face of the America’s Next Top Model perfume product "Dream Come True".
- A spread in Nylon magazine.
- Campaigns with Nine West and Smashbox Cosmetics.
- A US$100,000 cash prize.
The following prizes have been removed:
- A guest correspondent placement with the Extra news magazine.
- A fashion spread in Vogue Italia, and both the cover and a spread in Beauty In Vogue.
- Production of a music composition that wil be performed by the winner that will then be released as a record single by CBS Records.[9] and
- A US$100,000 contract with CoverGirl cosmetics.

The Girl Who Makes The Grade
First aired August 24, 2012[10]
The semi-finalists met for the first time, and enjoyed the party for the casting of Cycle 19. Tyra introduced the new judges for the cycle - Rob Evans and photo shoot director Johnny Wujek. She also revealed that the fans would take part in deciding who would be eliminated each week. The models were introduced to the public via runway, and later had a photo shoot in their bikinis. The girls met the judges for one-on-one interviews at panel. Memorable contestants included Victoria, who was home schooled her entire life, Brittany who loved Disney, Laura who is the daughter of actor John James, Jessie who accidentally flashed her booty during the runway challenge, and Kristin, who was a former mean girl in high-school. Tyra then announced the thirteen girls who would compete and live together in the top model house.

The Girl Who Cries Home
First aired August 31, 2012
After moving to the new Top Model Sorority House, Tyra informed the girls about the new rules about the competition. She reveals the Tyra Suite which is the room for the girl who receives the best photo for each week. She also inform the girls that the call-out is now based upon their scores in the challenge (out of 10), photo ratings from the judges (each judge scores out of 10, a total of 30) and the home viewers (an average score out of 10). Also, the winner of each challenge will receive $10,000 cash to bank in her individual "scholarship account" which can only be redeemed if she won the whole competition.
For the first challenge Rob told the girls that they will go to Hollywood in Club Even where they will walk in a catwalk, Yvonne got the best feedback and won the first challenge. Back at the house, the girls found out their individual scores in the challenge. Yvonne received the best score of 10 as she won the challenge, while Kristin and Jessie were in the bottom, each scoring a 4. Destiny questioned her low score of 5 and Kiara told her that she may look as a stripper, Destiny told the other girls about what Kiara said which she overheard and confronted her. Darian stepped into the confrontation which led to a misunderstanding between Kiara and her.
For their first photo shoot, the girls did a beauty shot posing as dead animals hanging on the wall as a display. Some of the girls received good feedbacks. Destiny and Jessie struggled, Kristin was noticed by her diva attitude and Victoria was too talkative, which annoyed Johnny. After the photo shoot, the girls were annoyed when Victoria called her mom and broke down in tears.
At the panel, Leila, Nastasia, Laura, and Kristin received good feedback from the judges and the public vote, with Leila getting the highest possible total score of 30 from the judges. Brittany was shocked that the public did not like her and labeled her as arrogant. Destiny and Jessie were in the bottom two with the lowest scores. However, Destiny got a higher score and Jessie was eliminated. After elimination, Bryanboy revealed to Jessie that she will have a chance to go back to the competition by participating for the next 6 comeback photo shoots and earning high scores from the public vote.
