Akbar al-Baker (Arabic: أكبر الباكر; born 1960 in Doha, Qatar) is the CEO of Qatar Airways.
Mr al-Baker became Chief Executive Officer of Qatar Airways in 1997. Prior to his appointment he worked at the Civil Aviation Directorate of Qatar.[1] He is also Chairman of the Qatar Tourism Authority.
Mr al-Baker holds a degree in Economics and Commerce.
His brother Hasan Al Baker works in the Doha Securities Market for the Qatar Securities Company
