Agnes Davies was a Welsh snooker and billiards player.
Her father was a coal miner, forced to leave the pit after contracting pneumoconiosis. He used his compensation money to open a one-table billiard hall in Saron where she practiced.
at 17, at her first attempt, won the women's amateur championship without losing a frame.
1985 Voted Life President World Ladies' Billiards and Snooker Association (WLBSA)
played for Wales in the home international series until 1999, and until 2001 in the Amman Valley league
Personal life
Married Fick Davies 1940, he died 1996.
