The 2008 Tennessee House of Representatives election was held on November 4, 2008, to elect 99 seats for the Tennessee House of Representatives. The elections coincided with the Presidential, U.S. Senate, U.S. House, and State Senate elections. The primary elections were held on August 7, 2008.[1][2][3]
Republicans gained 4 seats, gaining a slim majority in the chamber. At this time, Republicans had last won the House chamber in 1968.[4]
