This article lists the confirmed squads for the 2006 FIFA World Cup tournament held in Germany, between June 9 and July 9, 2006. Before announcing their final squad, several teams name a provisional squad, including some players who will not be selected for the final squad. These provisional squads vary in size from 23 to 33 players, but each country's final squad will consist of 23 players. All participants had to submit final squad lists by 15 May 2006, but injured players can be replaced at any time up until the start of the tournament. Players marked (c) have been named as captain for their national squad. Club information is that used by FIFA[1]. Players for whom this information has changed during or in the run up to the tournament are indicated by footnotes.
