There are two 14th Street Viaducts in Hudson County, New Jersey constructed for vehicle traffic between low-lying areas close to the Hudson River and the part of the Hudson Palisades that is sometimes called Bergen Hill.
In uptown Hoboken, the 14th Street Viaduct (designated CR 670) begins at the intersection of Willow Avenue, and travels perpendicular to the Hudson Palisades in Union City. It ascends to connect to the Wing Viaduct (designated CR 683) which runs along the face of the cliff. At its summit the south wing becomes Paterson Plank Road in Jersey City Heights, while the north wing rises to Manhattan Avenue and Mountain Road. Just north of its lower end is the Willow Avenue Viaduct, which travels over the Hudson Bergen Light Rail and serves local as well as Lincoln Tunnel-bound traffic.[1]

In Downtown Jersey City, the westbound 14th Street Viaduct along New Jersey Route 139 is an extension of the exit of Holland Tunnel that serves Pulaski Skyway and Tonnelle Circle-bound, as well as local traffic. Its eastbound counterpart, the 12th Street Viaduct, becomes Boyle Plaza, the approach to the tunnel toll plaza.[1] The New Jersey Department of Transportation is undertaking a $92 million project that includes replacement of the concrete deck, retrofitting for earthquakes, repair of the substructure and superstructure, and construction of a shoulder on westbound 14th Street.[2]
