/r/The_Donald is an Internet forum on the popular website Reddit. It was created as the leading discussion hub for the 2016 presidential candidate Donald Trump. Trump, who is the primary topic of discussion for the forum, announced that he would be hosting a scripted AMA, a Q-and-A session with the users of the subreddit. Moderators of the subreddit claimed they banned more than 2,000 accounts during Trump's AMA session.[1] Users of the subreddit called for the resignation of Reddit CEO Steve Huffman after they claimed the site intentionally made the AMA less visible to users of the website.[2]
The subreddit has been criticized by Vice as being anti-choice, pro-Russia, pro-creation, and censoring any differing opinion.[3][4]
