Thanks for your contributions at CFD!
As for the discussion at Wikipedia:Categories_for_discussion/Log/2020_April_5#Category:Indian_women_biographers, I would have let it run longer as new points were being made. Anyway, no harm done.
It's good to have more people on the team. The CFD backlog is shorter than I can remember for a long time. Let's hope we can keep it that way! – Fayenatic London 10:02, 25 April 2020 (UTC)

Drainage basins CfD
Hi, yesterday you closed this CfD as keep. That's OK for 10 of the 11 listed categories, but IMO the consensus was that the first one, Category:Dnieper River system, should be moved to Dnieper basin, since its main article is at Dnieper and most other drainage basin categories are at "Foo basin", not at "Foo system". Could you correct this, or should I list this category again at CfD or WP:CFDS? Markussep Talk 07:35, 9 May 2020 (UTC)

Railway stations by year of opening
RE CFD on April 13; on April 25 you approved the renaming of categories for Canada, Russia and the United States e.g to Category:Railway stations in Canada by year of opening; but the category for China which I had added to the proposal i.e. Category:Railway stations in China by opening year to Category:Railway stations in China by year of opening was not included. Could you arrange for this to be carried out if possible. Hugo999 (talk) 10:22, 13 May 2020 (UTC)

Your supervote at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Breast Tax is far from making any sense. The delete !votes were absolutely clear with establishing that there is a clear lack of WP:HISTRS which significantly covered the subject. There was a lack of even recent media sources covering the subject significantly without mainly relying on Nangeli and Channar revolt. The "Keep" voters mainly rely on the lousy argument described at WP:THEREMUSTBESOURCES.
Now since WP:POVFORKs are strongly discouraged, where you saw any consensus for "Keep"? Wareon (talk) 04:21, 21 May 2020 (UTC)

Hi Bibliomaniac15
Thanks for closing WP:Categories for discussion/Log/2020 May 6#Television_program(me)s. It had been open too long.

- @BrownHairedGirl: I'm hoping to put it out by the end of the week, but I'm waiting for Fayenatic to respond to a couple things. They've been busy IRL so there's been a delay. Thanks for following up! bibliomaniac15 18:08, 27 May 2020 (UTC)

- Hi. I'm confused as to what your decision actually is and why. I see your comment that "The result of the discussion was: standardize to "shows" for now", but it's obvious that there was no consensus for this, and in the case of no consensus, the convention is to leave as is. It's only last year that "Category:Welsh-language television programs" was uncontroversially moved to "Category:Welsh-language television programmes". Deb (talk) 19:39, 28 May 2020 (UTC)

I agree with Deb. Clearly bibliomaniac is an American who has trouble counting. I'd bet money that User:Fayenatic_london is actually Chinese. And clearly BrownHairedGirl would see the reverse, as she's the one who nominated the name change, and had already renamed a load of TV categories in 2019 to her preferred choice, to give herself a better argument.

Move of earthquake magnitude maintenance categories
Hi Bibliomaniac15, the renaming of these categories was carried out without leaving redirects, which has broken the links, with many pages now having redlinked categories e.g. List of earthquakes in the United States. When Category:M_? was originally moved to Category:Articles using unknown earthquake magnitude scales, a redirect was left. What was different this time? Currently all the maintenance categories are empty, bar the original renaming mentioned above, which still follows the redirect. I would be grateful if you would add the redirects for the other categories, if that is something that is easy for you to do, thanks. Mikenorton (talk) 11:05, 29 May 2020 (UTC)
- @Mikenorton: Hey, thanks for reminding me. I'll head back as soon as I have time to place {{category redirect}} on each category. Had to give the bot time to rename everything first. bibliomaniac15 17:36, 30 May 2020 (UTC)

CfD outcome for The Sandlot film series
Hi. I'm not sure I agree with the decision to rename Category:The Sandlot film series to Category:The Sandlot (film series). I think the appropriate name was the one I suggested in the discussion since the only articles with the category are the films from the series. There is not an article about the series as a whole or articles about any of the characters, soundtracks, or video games from the series. I believe my rationale is supported by categories which use the "film series" parenthetical disambiguator vs. those that simply use "films" as part of the category name. For example, there is Category:Scream (film series), which contains articles about many aspects of the series and Category:Scream films, which contains only the articles about the films themselves. Thanks. StarcheerspeaksnewslostwarsTalk to me 17:04, 24 July 2020 (UTC)

Contested close
Hello, I'd like you to reconsider the close to this particular CfD [3]. There's a naming convention in place which clearly establishes 'Macedonian' as the term for nationality. The policy was based on a wide consensus established by a RfC. A recent local consensus of five editors was obviously not aware of this and changed the name of the category. Same goes for 'Category:Macedonian politicians by party'. --FlavrSavr (talk) 18:11, 3 August 2020 (UTC)
- FlavrSavr is correct ("According to the official prescriptions of the Prespa agreement, the adjectival form "North Macedonian" is generally to be avoided"). I'm surprised you ignored my view that the place to start is Category:Macedonian people as the rename can now be undone as a speedy (C2C), as it introduces an inconsistency into an otherwise harmonious tree. Also some of the support was in fact for 'North Macedonia', not the demonym 'North Macedonian'. Oculi (talk) 09:31, 4 August 2020 (UTC)
